In my current Russian lesson we are asked to prepare a tour of our local area, so I’m posting here. I am in London but on the edge of a suburb and not exactly in a town or village. We were asked to take photos of church/cathedral, bridge, market. I couldn’t do all of these but some pics. The church is the size of a small cathedral and dates back in part to the 12th century. The water tower (red brick which looks like a church tower) is a little unusual feature even in 18th century. I took the photos in the rain yesterday before the Remembrance service today, so the poppy wreaths have not been laid yet. The names of all local servicemen / women are on the two monuments and also the 3rd monument in a park. And the obligatory red pillar box.
